The Technical Overview Group Assessment (TOGA) applied discretion for those level 3 subjects studied by fewer than 1000 year 13 Students. In these instances, the 3 percent tolerance was applied with discretion of plus or minus 5 students. Students must have demonstrated performance at Scholarship level.

Results for subjects studied at year 13 by less than 1000 students appear below:

Marking Scholarship

Scholarship is marked using a scale of 0 to 8 for each question. A mark of 8 or 7 is given for an Outstanding answer. This is likely to show strong evidence of integration and synthesis, be as good as could be expected under examination conditions, and be accurate, comprehensive, coherent, lucid, and perceptive. A mark of 6 or 5 indicates a clear Scholarship-level answer, while a 4 represents a marginal response.

Cut-off points have been determined for each subject above which Scholarship and Outstanding are to be awarded. About 3 per cent of the candidates studying each Scholarship subject at Level 3 have been awarded Scholarship. Up to 0.4 per cent of the Level 3 candidates in each subject have been awarded Outstanding Scholarship.

The following table shows the range of possible marks for each subject in 2006.
