Eligibility for Scholarship Monetary Awards1 August 2008 - SC2008/001Information on the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) website relating to Scholarship Monetary Awards has been updated to clarify the minimum requirements candidates must meet to be considered for a monetary award. There has been no change to the rules around Scholarship eligibility. It is important to note that numbers for both the Outstanding Scholar Award and Premier Award are restricted, and that achieving the minimum requirement will not guarantee receipt of a monetary award. The updated table can be found in the Assessment and Certification Rules and Procedures as Section 6.3.2 Scholarship: Monetary Awards. RankingFor both the Outstanding Scholar Award and Premier Award, all candidates meeting the minimum requirements are ranked according to the criteria set by the external advisory group to determine where the threshold for monetary award will be. As there are upper limits to the number of candidates who may receive a monetary award, the threshold above which these awards will be made may differ from year to year.
