Information for Students
The National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) is New Zealand's main national qualification for secondary school students. This is probably the main qualification you will be aiming at while at school.
However, schools can also offer a wide range of other specialised National Certificates, and even other local awards, that may be a starting point for further study or may simply broaden general education.
NCEA can be gained at Level 1 (usually in Year 11), Level 2 (usually Year 12) and Level 3 (usually Year 13).
