Assessment and Certification Rules and Procedures for Secondary Schools - 2008

7.4.1.10 Certificate in Computing and Internet Core Competencies

The three modules of the Certificate in Computing and Internet Core Competencies that are not unit standards have been granted credit inclusion for the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) at Level 2 (11 credit equivalents) until 31 March 2010. This credit inclusion is limited to NCEA, may only be used once, and may not be used for any other NQF qualifications.

The Certificate in Computing and Internet Core Competencies also includes 31 credits from unit standards.

Credits for the unit standards can only be awarded when schools have followed all the normal reporting and assessment processes as required by the 'Assessment and Certification Rules and Procedures for Secondary Schools - 2008'.

Credit for unit standards may not be awarded automatically as a result of passing any exam/test/assessment items, unless such items provide candidate specific evidence for all the performance criteria of the standard/s concerned.
