Assessment and Certification Rules and Procedures for Secondary Schools - 2008
7.4 Credit Inclusion
- The NCEAs have provision for recognition of credit equivalents from other qualifications that are quality assured.
- The New Zealand Qualifications Authority publishes an approved list of qualifications recognised for credit inclusion.
- Credit equivalents from credit inclusion do not appear on the Record of Achievement. They may be used only once and do not contribute to the University Entrance level 3 requirements, except for The Waikato Certificate of Studies, English, which can contribute to the university entrance writing requirement (2.1 and 3.1) and the reading requirement (2.2 and 3.2).
- If a school wishes to access credit inclusion for any students it should complete the appropriate form and send it to The New Zealand Qualifications Authority with the applicable student results.
- Applications may be submitted for qualifications from the approved list which were gained up to two years prior to the year of application for credit inclusion.
