7.2 Transition arrangements
- Transition arrangements are available to learners who may be affected by the transition from earlier qualifications to NQF qualifications.
- Applicants must be registered on the National Qualifications Framework. However, they will not be required to pay additional fees for the credits exempted through these transition arrangements.
- Credit exemptions awarded through transition for a subject grade and/or level may only be used to meet the credit requirements for one of the National Certificates in Educational achievement.
- Mathematics and English Te Reo Māori grades may be used to meet Literacy and Numeracy requirements.
- It is the intention of the Ministry of Education and The New Zealand Qualifications Authority that these transition arrangements are fair and do not disadvantage any existing candidate. anyone who thinks that they have been disadvantaged by the transition process should contact:
