Assessment and Certification Rules and Procedures for Secondary Schools - 2008
5.2 Moderation Requirements
- For all NQF qualifications The New Zealand Qualifications Authority requires schools to be accredited and to engage in external moderation.
- Managing National Assessment (MNA) checks and reports evaluate schools' processes and systems to ensure that internal assessment decisions and systems remain effective.
- If the outcomes of external moderation and/or the Managing National Assessment Report reveal that there is no evidence of a strategy to improve a school's assessment systems,
the school's accreditation status may be reviewed and/or an investigation may be conducted under terms which parallel those of Breaches of the Rules-External Assessment.
