Māori Economic Development Forum
The Māori Economic Development Forum was formed as a key action that falls out of Te Rautaki Māori – NZQA’s Māori Strategy.
The role of the Māori Economic Development Forum is to provide assistance to the New Zealand Qualifications Authority to:
- Identify the need for any qualifications that will lead to accelerated Māori economic capability
- Consider the relevance of current qualifications in the context of Māori economic growth
- Recommend areas for development.
Membership
The membership of the Māori Economic Development Forum includes representatives from industry, tertiary education institutions, Māori businesses, rūnanga, iwi, Māori community agencies, Māori enterprises and Māori service provider organisations.
